Davenport woman faces charges after fight, stabbing in 2023
A 46-year-old Davenport woman has been released on bond after police allege she was involved in a violent incident in 2023 at a Davenport bar, according to court records.
Kizzy Bateman, who was arrested on a warrant, faces two felony charges of willful injury – causing bodily injury, and a felony charge of participating in a riot, court records show.
About 1 a.m. April 1, 2023, police allege Bateman and more than three other subjects “got
into a violent physical altercation” inside Gilly’s Bar, 2148 W. 3rd St., Davenport.
“During the altercation (Bateman) did stab the male victim multiple times in the back and left side” and also “stabbed the female victim multiple times in the wrist,” police say in affidavits.
Both victims required medical treatment. Bateman can be seen on video committing the assault, according to affidavits.
